TRIBUNNEWS.COM, KIEV – A pregnant mother seen in a viral image dies with her baby after Russia bombed a Ukrainian hospital.
Reporting from the Associated Press, Monday (14/3/2022), the maternity hospital located in the city of Mariupol was known to be the location where the pregnant woman was supposed to give birth to her baby.
Images of the woman being rushed to the ambulance on a stretcher have gone viral around the world as rescue teams carried her through the rubble.
Debris was seen at the destroyed Mariupol Maternity and Children’s Hospital.
The woman was rushed to another hospital where doctors were working to save her.
Medics delivered the baby by caesarean section.

“But there are no signs of life in the baby,” said surgeon Timur Marin.
Doctors then focus on treating and saving the pregnant woman.
“More than 30 minutes of resuscitation of the mother, but to no avail,” Marin said on Saturday.
