Poco has just launched its newest cellphones with the names Poco X4 Pro 5G and Poco M4 Pro. Both carry AMOLED screens, but there are some other differences.
Poco officially launched the Poco X4 Pro 5G and Poco M4 Pro for the international market. These two phones are successors to the Poco X3 Pro and Poco M3 Pro 5G series which were released last year. They are unlike their predecessors in terms of design and specifications. POCO X4 Pro 5G and POCO M4 Pro are modified versions of the already released Redmi phones.
Poco X4 Pro 5G is the branding of the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G which is sold in the global market. This series has the exact same specifications, except for the redesigned back panel. Reported from Gizmochina (3/1), this phone features a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels as well as refresh rate 120 Hz. The maximum brightness of this screen is 1,200 nits.
The device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 chipset which is a downgrade of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 860 which is in the Poco X3 pro. The new phone also comes with UFS 2.2 storage which is slower than UFS 3.1, with the same type of LPDDR4x RAM.
For photography and videography, the Poco X4 Pro 5G uses a triple camera system on the back consisting of a 108 MP main sensor, an 8 MP ultra-wide camera, and a 2 MP macro camera. While on the front, it uses a 16 MP camera for selfies and video calls.
Connectivity options on the phone include dual SIM, 5G, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC (market dependent), GNSS, and USB Type-C. Other features include stereo speakers, 3.5mm headphone jack, IP53 certification, hybrid microSD card slot, z-axis linear vibration motor, infrared, and a fingerprint sensor on the side buttons.
This device carries the MIUI 13 interface for Poco based on Android 11. There is also a 5,000 mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging.
On the other hand, the Poco M4 Pro is the 4G variant of the Poco M4 Pro 5G from late last year. This is a rebranding of the Redmi Note 11S with a different rear design and camera system. The phone holds a 6.43-inch AMOLED display panel with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels. It has a refresh rate of 90Hz and a maximum brightness of 1,000 nits.
The phone is run by the MediaTek Helio G96 chipset coupled with LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. The battery has a capacity of 5,000 mAh and fast charging 33W. On the back, the device has a triple camera setup consisting of a 64 MP main sensor, 8 MP ultra wide, and a 2 MP macro camera. while the front camera has 16 MP.
This phone offers several connectivity options such as dual SIM, 4G, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GNSS, NFC (market dependent), and USB Type-C. Other features of the phone include IP53 certification, stereo speakers, 3.5mm headphone jack, microSD card slot, infrared, z-axis linear vibration motor, and side fingerprint scanner.
