Following the success of Money Heist, Netflix has officially adapted the Spanish series into a Korean drama. Finally, Netflix has revealed the official title as well as leaked the first visual.
Titled Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area, the series still follows a strategist and his crew of high-profile thieves. They will carry out an unprecedented attempted robbery on the Korean Peninsula.
Surprises await as the team takes hostages and faces complex challenges. In the special teaser released, viewers can see the figure of the Professor, who will be played by Yoo Ji Tae.
He stands in front of a wall filled with unique masks, including the traditional Korean mask and the Salvador Dali mask used in the original series. When his hand reached out to pick up a mask, the scene changed.
