DC Entertainment and HBO Max finally released an official trailer and behind-the-scenes clip of the series Peacemakerwhich will debut on January 13, 2022. This eight-episode series is an indirect sequel to The Suicide Squad and stars John Cena as a psychopath who wants to achieve peace no matter how many men, women and children he has to get rid of.
The trailer itself is presented quite entertainingly by showing various exciting but hilarious action scenes accompanied by supporting songs. Meanwhile, the behind-the-scenes sneak peek presents various exciting and fun moments for the cast with James Gunn.

Then there are Lochlyn Munro (Riverdale), Chukwudi Iwuji (The Underground Railroad), Annie Chang (Shades of Blue), Christopher Heyerdahl (Hell on Wheels, Supernatural), Elizabeth Faith Ludlow (The Walking Dead), Rizwan Manji (Goliath), Nhut Le (The Kroll Show) as Judomaster, Aison Araya (Arrow) as Amber, and Lenny Jacobson (Nurse Jackie) as Evan.
The series will explore the origins of the character Cena will play in the film The Suicide Squad, a man who believes in peace. He will try to achieve it at any cost – no matter how many people have to be removed to get it.
The Peacemaker series project was initiated by James Gunn when The Suicide Squad still in post-production. This eight-episode show will focus on the unique antihero and give the public a chance to learn more about Gunn’s iteration of the character.
FYI, character Peacemaker created by Joe Gill and Pat Boyette and first appeared in the Fightin ‘5 comic series originally owned by Charlton Comics. He is a man who believes in peace at all costs – no matter how many people he has to kill to get it. The first incarnation of the Peacemaker was Christopher Smith, a pacifist diplomat and son of a Nazi death camp commander who founded the Pax Institute to fight dictators and warlords.
