Park Ji Hoon’s action as an actor can be seen again in the near future. The musician will make an acting comeback through the Korean drama adaptation of the webtoon, Weak Hero.
The news was confirmed by Maroo Entertainment as management. The plan, Weak Hero will be aired in the second half of 2022.
“Park Ji Hoon is confirmed to be starring in the original wavve drama entitled Weak Hero. The plan is for this drama to be aired in the second half of this year,” said Maroo Entertainment.
Weak Hero is an action Korean drama set in a school. This drama is adapted from the popular webtoon of the same name.
This drama will follow the story of Yeon Si Eun, a top student. He looks weak in appearance, but is growing up while fighting the violence that occurs inside and outside the school.
Park Ji Hoon will play the main character, Yeon Si Eun. Despite his fragile appearance, he uses the inside of his head to dominate the school.
The former Wanna One member is considered to have shown a resemblance to the character he will be playing. Park Ji Hoon also confirmed that he would show a different type of school drama with his unique character portrayal in Weak Hero.
Park Ji Hoon has previously stolen attention through a number of Korean dramas that he has starred in. He first entered the world of acting in 2006 as a child actor through a number of popular dramas such as Song of the Prince, Prince of the Legend, King and I, to Il Ji-Mae: The Phantom Thief.
In 2019, Park Ji Hoon returned to acting by playing an adult character in the drama Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency. After that, he stole attention through Love Revolution, a Korean drama which was also adapted from a popular webtoon of the same name.
