This time the smartphone carries a new slogan, which reads “bringing 10 to the name”, a pun of a Chinese saying, “bringing fame to the name”.
The number 10 is seen as a perfect 10/10 score for many sports such as diving, gymnastics and 10-pin bowling, and OnePlus is trying to imply that the OnePlus 10 Pro will bring perfection to the flagship smartphone space, and will solidify the OnePlus brand in the premium smartphone category.
At the same time, Pete Lau, OnePlus founder, also took to Weibo to share his excitement about the announcement with OnePlus fans. Pete wrote that by 2022, OnePlus has been around for 9 years, and the OnePlus community has reached 50 countries with 1.4 million active users worldwide.
