INDOSPORT.COM – To mark a decade of ONE Championship, the world’s largest martial arts organization will host ONE X on March 26, featuring a wide spectrum of combat sports from world-class athletes.
The event, which will be held in Singapore, will be the biggest event in ONE Championship’s history. In a Facebook post, ONE Championship CEO and Chairman, Chatri Sityodtong, announced that ONE X will feature a total of 24 bouts.
From the list of fights that have been announced so far, there is nothing wrong with ONE X going down in history as one of the biggest events in the world of martial arts.
As of Friday (18/02/22), there are 11 confirmed matches. In the final event, atomweight queen “Unstoppable” Angela Lee will try to defend her gold belt from the challenge of Stamp Fairtex who claimed the top spot after winning the ONE Women’s Atomweight World Grand Prix at the end of last year.
This match will mark the return of the reigning champion after giving birth to her first daughter. For Stamp, a win will mark her in ONE Championship history as the first athlete to win titles in three different sports. Previously, she was the ONE Women’s Atomweight Kickboxing and Muay Thai World Champion.
The main support match was no less amazing. ONE Flyweight World Champion Adriano “Mikinho” Moraes will take on Yuya “Little Piranha” Wakamatsu’s challenge for the ultimate supremacy in his division.
The reigning champion has confirmed his status as the most dangerous flyweight fighter ever after ousting Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson in April last year. He is the first man to be able to win by TKO over the athlete who is referred to as the GOAT (Greatest Of All Time / Best of All Time) in this MMA.
On the other hand, Yuya Wakamatsu has the same ambition. He had won five straight wins for the honor of challenging the division king. Whoever manages to emerge victorious is entitled to the status of the best flyweight fighter in the world today.
Completing the two main matches, fights with the rules of MMA and Muay Thai will also decorate. In this special match, two legendary martial artists Demetrious Johnson and Rodtang Jitmuangnon will show off their skills.
The two athletes with extraordinary impressive records will fight for four rounds of three minutes each. The first and third rounds will take place under Muay Thai rules, while the other two rounds will take place under MMA rules.
With the high-level abilities they have, the match can certainly end in an instant without having to wait for the jury’s assessment.
