Actress turned director, Olivia Wilde using account Twitter personally to confirm the official release date for his crime drama horror film Don’t Worry Darling which will be distributed by New Line Cinema. The film stars MCU stars Florence PughGrammy winner Harry Styles and Chris Pine, and is scheduled to debut in theaters on September 23, 2022. This announcement also includes the release of the film’s premiere teaser.
The teaser features footage of the characters played by Pugh and Styles as husband and wife, a couple living in the 1950s and living a beautiful life in a utopian experimental community. However, this short teaser also offers a dark mystery, as Pugh’s housewife starts to worry that her husband’s employer might be hiding something from them. Combining a captivating 1950s-scented clip with intense footage, as well as the discovery of some plastic wrap, this film seems ready to take fans to sink deep into its mystery.

Wilde will also star in the film in addition to directing, along with Gemma Chan, KiKi Layne, Nick Kroll, Dita Von Teese, Timothy Simons, Ari’el Stachel, and Kate Berlant. Wilde is directing the film from a script written by Katie Silberman. Wilde will also direct the upcoming biopic Perfect, starring Mckenna Grace and Thomasin McKenzie, which is based on the memoirs of Kerri Strugs and John P. Lopez.
Set in the 1950’s, Don’t Worry Darling is a psychological thriller starring Pugh as an unhappy housewife and slowly begins to question her own sanity when she begins to see strange happenings in her small utopian community in the California desert. Styles will play Pugh’s perfect husband, who loves him deeply, but hides a dark secret from him. Meanwhile, Chris Pine will play the respected leader of a mysterious workplace or community where all men work outside the city.
