HMD Global has just released 2 affordable phones at MWC 2022. The two phones are Nokia C21 and Nokia C21 Plus. There are some differences between the two models.
HMD Global, the Finland-based company launching Nokia-branded phones, has now announced two new devices in its affordable C-series focus. These two phones are named Nokia C21 and Nokia C21 Plus.
As for the price, the Nokia C21 starts at around GBP 83 (Rp 1.6 million), while the Nokia C21 Plus has a starting price of around GBP 100 (Rp 1.9 million). While the standard model is said to go on sale in March, the Plus model will be available in select markets from April.
Reported from Gizmochina (28/2), The Nokia C21 Plus is a phone that does better than what the company has offered so far in the C series. It comes with a metal chassis that is IP52 rated for water and dust resistance.
The phone features a 6.5-inch HD+ screen that offers a screen resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels with a 20:9 aspect ratio. Inside, the device is powered by a processor octa-core Unisoc SC9863A, coupled with PowerVR GE8322 GPU.
The device comes in three memory options consisting of 2 GB RAM, 3 GB RAM and 4 GB RAM along with the option to have from two internal storage 32 GB and 64 GB. There is also a microSD card slot to expand storage capacity.
For the photography side, there is a dual camera setup on the back which includes a 13 MP main sensor and a camera depth sensor 2 MP with LED flash. On the front side, there is a 5 MP camera for taking selfies and video calls.
The phone runs the Android 11 Go Edition operating system and the company has promised to offer quarterly security updates for two years. Interestingly, there are two battery options with a capacity of 5,050 mAh and 4,000 mAh.
On the other hand, the Nokia C21 has the same 6.5-inch HD+ 20:9 display with a screen resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels. It also has a metal frame but the company has downgraded the IP rating.
Inside, the phone is also powered by a Unisoc SC9863A processor but memory options are limited to 2GB RAM or 3GB RAM, and 32GB or 64GB of internal storage. It also has a microSD card slot for expanding storage capacity.
The phone has an 8 MP camera sensor on the back and a 5 MP camera on the front. It runs the Android 11 Go operating system with the promise of getting security updates for two years and the device is powered by a 3,000 mAh battery.
