New Sonic the Hedgehog 2 Teaser and Poster Parody The Batman, Reveals Sonic’s Superhero Name

Paramount Pictures has released a new teaser and poster ofSonic the Hedgehog 2 to promote the upcoming sequel. Uniquely, these posters and teasers feature themes related to the latest Batman film. The film is currently scheduled to hit theaters on April 28.

Making fun of the release The Batmanmarketing division of Sonic The Hedgehog 2 released a teaser positioning Sonic as “Blue Justice,” as if he were the vigilante. While the poster itself also carries the same tone as the Sonic logo, which looks up in the clouds as if “highlighted” by the Bat-Signal.

Based on one of the most famous video game characters ever, Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is the sequel to the 2020 film which grossed over $300 million worldwide and was one of the last cinema releases before the coronavirus pandemic hit us. The sequel will see the superfast blue hedgehog come face to face with one of his most famous – and most beloved – enemies – the red echidna known as Knuckles.

Ben Schwartz will return as the voice of Sonic along with Jim Carrey as Robotnik. The film will also reprise James Marsden and Tika Sumpter as Tom and Maddie Wachowskis, and Lee Majdoub will return as Agent Stone. Other cast members in the film are Natasha Rothwell, Adam Pally, and Shemar Moore. Some time ago it was announced that Idris Elba will voice Knuckles the Echidna, confirming the involvement of one of the video game’s favorite characters in the film’s sequel.

Plot synopsis for Sonic the Hedgehog 2 reads:

“After settling in Green Hills, Sonic was ready for more freedom, and Tom and Maddie agreed to leave him at home while they went on vacation. However, not long after they left, Dr. Robotnik is back, this time with a new partner, Knuckles, in search of the emerald that has the power to build and destroy civilization. Sonic then teams up with his best friend, Tails, and together they embark on an adventure and journey to find the emerald before it falls into the wrong hands.”

The sequel is directed by Jeff Fowler from a script written by Pat Casey and Josh Miller, with Neal H. Mortiz, Toby Ascher, and Toru Nakahara all returning to produce while Hajime Satomi, Haruki Satomi, and Tim Miller return to executive producers.
