Ahead of the film’s release House of GucciMetro Goldwyn Mayer Pictures (MGM) has released a new poster of the film focusing on Lady Gaga as Patrizia Reggiani who is the central figure of this film.
The poster gives an American Hustle-style gangster atmosphere or feel, as Lady Gaga is front and center, with people from the Gucci family, on her right and left. Against a gold-colored backdrop, the poster seems to promise a display of extravagant luxury, heart-breaking betrayal, and, as the tagline says, “A Legacy Worth Killing For,” cold-blooded murder.
House of Gucci directed by Ridley Scott, with a screenplay from Becky Johnston and Roberto Bentivegna, and also stars Salma Hayek and Jack Huston. A film based on the book Sara Gay Forden “The House of Gucci: A Sensational Story of Murder, Madness, Glamor, and Greed,” will bring to life the story of the rise of the iconic fashion brand, stardom and inevitable trouble with the company getting involved in a lot of trouble, bickering and greed that leads to a power struggle among the key players for the fashion brand.
This film will highlight the events and stories after the murder of the famous Italian designer Maurizio Gucci, played by Adam Driver by his ex-wife Patrizia Reggiani (Gaga). This film will also be enlivened by Al Pacino as Lado Gucci, Jeremy Irons as Rodolfo Gucci, Camille Cottin as Paola Franchi, and will also feature Jack Huston and Reeve Carney.
The founder of the fashion icon Gucci, Maurizio Gucci, who has two daughters with Patrizia Reggiani, left him for another woman and then sold his stake in the company in 1993 for over $170 million but was shot by a hired assassin on the steps of his office in 1995. Patrizia was later tried and convicted of orchestrating the murder of her ex-husband, and despite her children asking the court and the public to re-evaluate her mother’s case, she was sentenced to 29 years before being released early in 2016 after being diagnosed with a brain tumor.
The film is currently slated to hit theaters on November 24, 2021. This release date will put the star-studded film against two other hit films like Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City owned by Sony Pictures, and Disney’s latest animated fantasy film, Encanto.
