Ahead of the release of a new trailer set to launch this weekend, a series of posters for Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore has been released via account Twitter Fantastic Beasts official.
The posters were released in three batches, the first depicting “Dumbledore’s first army”. These posters feature Jude Law who returns as Albus Dumbledore, Eddie Redmayne as Newt Scamander, Teddy the Niffler, Dan Fogler as Jacob Kowalski, Picket the Bowtruckle, Jessica Williams as Lally Hicks, Callum Turner as Theseus Scamander, Victoria Yeates as Bunty, William Nadylam as Yusuf Kama, and Richard Coyle as Aberforth Dumbledore.
The next group was Grindelwald and his followers such as Ezra Miller as Credence Barebone/Aurelius Dumbledore, Alison Sudol as Queenie, Poppy Corby-Tuech as Vinda Rosier, and newcomer Aleksandr Kuznetsov as Helmut Weiss, and Mads Mikkelsen as Gellert Grindelwald replacing Johnny Depp. And the final batch of this new poster features some of the wizards we’ll meet around the world as they engage in epic battles such as Oliver Masucci as Anton Vogel, Maria Fernanda Cândido as Vicência Santos, and Dave Wong as Liu Tao.
Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore will give us a deeper look into the life of the legendary Hogwarts Headmaster, Dumbledore, played by Jude Law. The film will explore the wizarding world’s involvement in World War II as Newt Scamander, played by Eddie Redmayne, clashes with Grindelwald and his growing army. Dumbledore must reflect on his own past and his previous relationship with Grindelwald.
Originally slated for a July 15, 2022 release, the fantasy film sequel has now been moved three months earlier and is currently slated to hit theaters on April 15, 2022. With this new release date, the film will face off against a Paramount Pictures film.Lost City of D starring Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum, and the Universal Pictures animated film Bad Guys.
