The 2021 Indonesian Film Festival (FFI) has been completed with the climax of the event in the form of the Citra Cup award night on November 10, 2021 at the Jakarta Convention Center. This prestigious festival has entered its 41st year since its inception and this year has selected the works of Indonesian filmmakers into 22 categories.
Netflix films such as Ali & Ratu Ratu Queens, Sobat Ambyar and the soon-to-be-aired copy of Cahaya, have won a total of 16 awards.

Pengalin Cahaya, the film that received the most nominations this year, succeeded in becoming the first film to get the most Citra Awards at the Indonesian Film Festival by bringing home 12 Citra Cups. In the following categories: Best Feature Film, Best Director (Wregas Bhanuteja), Best Male Lead (Chicco Kurniawan), Best Supporting Actor (Jerome Kurnia), Best Original Screenwriter, Best Cinematography Director, .Best Artistic Director, Best Sounds, Best Theme Songwriters, Best Music Arrangers, Best Image Editors, and Best Dressmakers. The film is coming to Netflix on January 13, 2022.

Meanwhile, the film Ali & Ratu Ratu Queens received 3 awards for the category of Best Supporting Female Actor (Marissa Anita), a special award for Film Criticism, as well as being the Audience’s Favorite Film. The film was directed by Lucky Kuswandi, who earned a nomination for Best Director.
