Starting 2022, Telkomsel has consistently carried out its role as a connectivity enabler to ensure that every community can be connected to each other in accessing products, broadband and digital services, as well as building optimism in welcoming the new year which still has to be passed in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.

This step is realized by continuing the network and service optimization initiative that was carried out during the Christmas and New Year moments (NARU 2021/2022). Telkomsel’s broadband access traffic increased by 10% from the average payload on a normal day. Compared to the previous year, data service traffic this time jumped by 22%.

“Telkomsel management wishes you a Merry Christmas 2020 for those who celebrate, and a Happy New Year 2022 for all Indonesians,” said Denny Abidin as Vice President of Corporate Communications Telkomsel.

He added that hopefully this hopeful moment can continue to encourage optimism for the resurrection for sustainable national progress in the midst of today’s challenging times. Entering this new year, Telkomsel is still enthusiastic about #KeusNyalakanSemangat.

During Christmas Eve 2021, people’s activities in accessing digital services are increasing, which has an impact on an increase in payload for Telkomsel’s broadband network by 6% compared to normal days in 2021, or growing by approximately 22% compared to the same period the previous year.

Meanwhile, on New Year’s Eve, the surge in data traffic reached 10% compared to a normal day in 2021, or an increase of 20% compared to the same period last year. By region, when compared to normal days of 2021, the highest increase in data service traffic occurred in the operational area of Bogor (West Java) by 16%, Deli Serdang (North Sumatra) by 15%, Simalungun (North Sumatra) 36% percent, Bandung (Java West) 10%, and Bekasi (West Java) jumped 9%.
