Moon Knight’s new promo reveals the dark side of the series

Disney+ and Marvel Studios just released a new promo for the series Moon Knight which fans have been waiting for. The promo that was launched at the Super Bowl LVI event offered a new perspective on appearances Oscar Isaac as the antihero. As we know, this series will premiere on March 30, 2022.

This new teaser again echoes the same dark look from the series’ first trailer. Unlike other MCU productions, which usually tend to focus on the lighter side of superheroes, Moon Knight looks set to be a down-to-earth series that will adapt the story of one of Marvel’s most violent superheroes. The trailer reintroduces us to Oscar Isaac’s character, Marc Spector, a former US Marine who was given supernatural abilities by the Egyptian moon god Khonshu.

Filled with the power of a mysterious god, Marc becomes the superhero Moon Knight, battling supernatural threats while the moon shines brightly in the night sky. This superhero life doesn’t treat Marc well, as he also battles some inner demons caused by his dissociative identity disorder. Moon Knight looks like it might help the MCU bring more mature content to Disney+.

Here’s the official synopsis of Moon Knight:

The series follows the adventures of Steven Grant, a polite gift shop employee, who is plagued with darkness and memories of another life. Steven discovers he has dissociative identity disorder and shares a body with mercenary Marc Spector. When adversaries Steven/Marc meet them, they must navigate their complex identities while plunging into a deadly mystery among Egypt’s mightiest gods. ”

Ethan Hawke (Sinister) who will play the main villain in this series. Along with Hawke and Isaac, Gaspard Ulliel and May Calamawy will also have important roles in the entire series produced by Marvel mogul, Kevin Feige. Episodes of the series will be directed by Justin Benson, Mohamed Diab, and Aaron Moorhead.

For information, the character Moon Knight was created by Doug Moench and Don Perlin and first appeared in the comics Werewolf by Night #32 (August 1975). He has very high martial arts skills thanks to his military background. He also has excellent acrobatic abilities and agility. He also has the ability to use various types of weapons. Meanwhile, this character’s super abilities are strongly influenced by the moon’s orbit and the lunar cycle.
