VIVA – The figure of Julizar Idris is not very familiar to the ears of the sports community, especially in the capital city. However, Bang Joel, his nickname, has been involved in sports organizations quite a lot.
He was a member of the Executive Board of the Indonesian Pencak Silat Association (PB IPSI). Now, he serves as the Daily Chair of the DKI Jakarta Muaythai Indonesian Provincial Pengprov and also the Chairman of the DKI Jakarta Ferkushi Pengprov.
This love for the world of sports prompted Bang Joel to fight with the Deputy Chairperson of KONI DKI Jakarta, Hidayat Humaid who is also the Chair of the XX Papua PON Contingent in 2021 at the KONI DKI Jakarta Provincial Conference which is scheduled to be held on March 27, 2022.
According to the plan, he will submit the registration form for the candidate for the Chair of the DKI Jakarta KONI for the period 2022-2026 to the Screening and Screening Team (TPP) on Monday, February 14, 2022.
In a discussion in Jakarta, Friday, February 11, 2022, Bang Joel, who will run as a candidate for the Chair of the DKI Jakarta KONI for the period 2022-2026, stated that he was optimistic that he would be able to restore the glory of Jakarta’s sports and at the same time make it a barometer for national sports development as well as a barn for national athletes.
Bang Joel’s reasoning is quite realistic by saying that DKI Jakarta has very adequate sports facilities with substantial financial support and qualified Human Resources (HR).
“In DKI Jakarta everything is available. Both facilities and infrastructure of international standard, financial support that exceeds that of other regions and having qualified human resources. The glory of Jakarta’s sports should not only be realized but DKI Jakarta can become a barn for national athletes capable of raise the Red and White in the international arena,” said Bang Joel.
