MOSCOW – After Meta allowed Facebook users to hurl insults at Russia. Now Instagram users in Russia cannot access the social media site today.

The move comes after access to Facebook and Twitter was also blocked in Russia earlier this month as part of Moscow’s moves to control the spread of information about its military operations in Ukraine.
An Instagram page in Russia today appeared on a list of online sources blocked by Russia’s media regulator, Roskomnadzor.
Facebook and Instagram are widely used in Russia and are the most popular social media platforms among the country’s youth.
For most small businesses, Instagram is the primary platform for advertising, selling and communicating with customers.
