In the midst of future speculation Kylian Mbappe, Marc Marquez also commented. Rider MotoGP it hopes Mbappe doesn’t go Real Madrid.
Marquez, who was born in Cervera 29 years ago, is a big Barcelona fan considering that his hometown is also the Catalan region.
Interestingly, in the middle of this week, Marc Marquez is actually favoring Real Madrid to face Paris Saint-Germain in the last 16 of the Champions League.
Why does Marc Marquez support Real Madrid? Apparently he doesn’t like PSG and prefers a Spanish club to show off in the Champions League.
“I’m a Cule, but yesterday I wanted Real Madrid to win because I’d rather see a Spanish team win than a French team. Besides, I don’t really like PSG,” he said in an interview with Marca.
Marquez’s wish did not materialize, at least in the first leg in the middle of the week. In that duel, PSG vs Madrid ended 1-0 for the home team. Marquez watched this fight, but did not see the goal that was created at the end of the second half.
“I only watched the first part (half), I didn’t watch the second. Because I have to get ready at 5.30 am and mutter to myself ‘I have to sleep because jet lag just arrived from Indonesia’.”
Marc Marquez also commented on the future of Kylian Mbappe, the only goal scorer in PSG’s victory over El Real in the middle of the week. Mbappe’s contract expires in the summer and there are rumors that he is ready to move to Real Madrid.
“Like a wild animal,” said Marquez when asked what kind of footballer Mbappe was in his view.
“And I hope he doesn’t go to Madrid because it will be difficult for us, the Catalans,” he said.
