Matthew Fox Returns to Television with Thriller Drama Series Last Light

After eleven years, finally Matthew Fox back to the world of television. serial star Lost and Party of Five is rumored to have joined Joanne Froggatt in a new series project for Peacock entitled Last Light. The project will be adapted from a novel by Alex Scarrow, and this action-packed limited series will be directed by the director Jack RyanDennie Gordon.

“Last Light is the perfect combination of an action-packed limited series with an engaging family drama at the heart of the story.” said Lisa Katz, president of the content division of NBCUniversal Television and Streaming. “Starring fan-favorite actors Matthew Fox and Joanne Froggatt, this international story will be set across multiple continents providing a stunning global backdrop, but grounded in relevant and topical stories. We can’t wait to share this with Peacock viewers.”

Duo Patrick Massett and John Zinman from Friday Night Lights and The Blacklist will serve as showrunner and executive producer. Read the synopsis Last Light below this.

“Chemist Andy Nielsen, knows how dependent the world is on petroleum; if something happened to the world’s oil supply, it would set off a chain reaction: transportation would stop, fuel supplies would stop being delivered, law enforcement would be overwhelmed. While on a business trip to the Middle East, Andy realizes that his worst fears have come true and his family is separated at this crucial time. His teenage daughter, Laura, is home alone in London while his wife, Elena, and young son, Sam, are in Paris. In the midst of this chaos, each family member will sacrifice everything to find the other, regardless of the distance and danger that separates them. The series is based on Alex Scarrow’s novel of the same name.”
