The dark music fades as question marks unfold, and sirens mix with the sounds of Gotham’s streets, then can be heard in the rain.

The Batman is a story set with Bruce Wayne who has entered the second year of his “career” as Batman. As a reminder, The Batman takes place outside of DC’s cinematic universe, DCEU, which could give Reeves and the film’s creative team the opportunity to explore more of Gotham’s dark and mysterious underworld. Batman has always been one of the darkest superhero stories in modern history, and the film looks to dive deeper into the darker side of billionaire and vigilante, Bruce Wayne.

Together Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne/Batman, the film also stars Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as Riddler, Colin Farrell as Penguin, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, Peter Sarsgaard as Gil Colson, Jeffery Wright as Commissioner Gordon , Barry Keoghan as Gotham police officer Stanley Merkel, Jayme Lawson as Bella Reál, and Alex Ferns as Commissioner Pete Savage, as well as Gil Perez-Abraham, Charlie and Max Carver, Rupert Penry-Jones, and Con O’Neill.
