VIVA – MotoGP pre-season test at Mandalika Circuit has started. On the first day, Friday 11 February 2022, there was an obstacle that forced the red flag to be raised.

Held since early in the morning, but when the test had only been running for about an hour, red flags were reported. The MotoGP confirmed that this step had to be done because the circuit was too dirty so it needed to be cleaned first.

“The session had to be stopped because the circuit was cleaned. Heavy rain all night made the circuit dirty,” wrote the MotoGP statement.

After cleaning, the track was re-opened. The racers have returned to the track after the green flag fluttered at 12.00 WITA.

According to the schedule, today’s test will be conducted at 09.00 WITA and ends at 17.00 WITA.

However, because of these obstacles, MotoGP made a dispensation. They added time for the drivers to complete the session, to 17:45 WITA.
