VIVA – Aquatics is one of the achievements sports that is included in the National Sports Great Design (DBON). With this, the Executive Board of the All-Indonesian Swimming Association (PB PRSI) is determined to bring aquatic glory to achieve achievements in international events and make Indonesia proud.
This was stated by the General Chairperson of PB PRSI, Anindya Novyan Bakrie when attending the virtual opening ceremony of the North Sumatra Open Swimming Exhibition 2022 at the Medan Selayang Swimming Pool, Sunday, February 13, 2022.
Anindya Bakrie said North Sumatra was the backbone of the triumph of aquatic sports. Because this province has produced many good and professional athletes who have fighting values as winners.
“This is thanks to our joint hard work, which was pioneered, of course, also by Mr. Sandiaga Uno, who used to be the General Chair of PB PRSI. We want to bring aquatic glory, where North Sumatra is the backbone,” said Anindya Bakrie.
The competition, which was held by PRSI Pengprov North Sumatra, was also attended virtually by the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Uno. Furthermore, Anindya said that entering aquatics as one of the sports in DBON will provide new enthusiasm for athletes.
“That with that position, PRSI has the opportunity to get facilities. But, it is also a big responsibility of course for the Asian Games, SEA Games and ultimately achieving at the Olympic level,” said Anindya.
