Lenovo Legion Y90 comes with RGB and Snapdragon 8 Gen 1

After several leaked rumors, Lenovo finally revealed their gaming smartphone called Legion Y90. This is reinforced with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.

Lenovo has just launched its highly anticipated gaming phone in China. The device is the Legion Y90, which packs the best in specs and features. The company is known for its legion gaming laptop series and now, has announced a high-end gaming phone.

As a cell phone gaming, this Chinese brand emphasizes on offering a powerful cooling mechanism. This is to ensure that the device performs at the optimal level for a longer period of time.

Inside, the Legion Y90 has over 1600 mm² of heat dissipation material, excluding the large 3520 mm² VC heat sink plate and dual fans featuring a fin design for better air intake for optimal cooling. The back sports a very unique look, with Legion’s iconic “Y” branding camera module in the middle.

This oval-shaped module is attractive and has RGB lighting on its logo as well. Another important gaming feature is the four adjustable shoulder-mounted buttons. On the front, it sports a 6.92-inch E4 AMOLED display featuring HDR10+ support for a resolution of 2460 x 1080 pixels, and refresh rate 144 Hz and 720 Hz touch sampling rate.

Reported from Gizmochina (1/3), the Lenovo Legion Y90 gaming phone comes with the latest and greatest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip from Qualcomm. The phone is also supported by 18 GB RAM (supports 4 GB virtual RAM expansion) and up to 512 GB of internal storage. Notably, the high-end model even has 128GB of SSD storage, forming a RAID 0 system with UFS 3.1 storage for increased memory read and write speeds. The rear camera module comprises a dual camera setup, including a 64 MP main camera and a 13 MP ultra-wide lens.

On the other hand, the front has a 16 MP resolution camera. The device is powered by a large 5,600 mAh battery that supports fast charging up to 68W. This allows the phone to be fully charged in just 38 minutes. Other features include OTG support, Wi-Fi 802.11ax, Bluetooth v5.2, and two USB Type C ports.
