Jung Hae In is targeted to star in the Korean drama Trees Die on Their Feet. The Korean drama also stars Kang Ha Neul.
The news about Jung Hae In’s involvement was first reported by Sports Chosun. The actor is said to have been confirmed to star in the character Bae Dong Jae.
Regarding this matter, FNC Entertainment, as management, gave a clarification. They said Jung Hae In did get an offer, but no decision had been made.
“Jung Hae In received an offer to star in the latest KBS2 drama, Trees Die on Their Feet. However, until now there has been no decision,” said FNC Entertainment.
Trees Die on Their Feet is a Korean drama that tells of an old woman from North Korea. In what remains of his life, a theater actor disguises himself as his grandson to grant his grandmother’s last wish.
Jung Hae In is targeted to star in Bae Dong Jae, the heir to the conglomerate group Samwoo. Bae Dong Jae is described as a handsome man who exudes an air of royalty.
Meanwhile, Kang Ha Neul will be starring as Yoo Jae Heon, a man who is always optimistic despite growing up in difficult conditions. He worked as a local theater actor in a theater company.
One day, he gets an unexpected request from someone. Yoo Jae Heon was asked to act as the grandson of a grandmother who changed his life.
Previously, Son Ye Jin and Youn Yuh Jung were targeted to star in the drama Trees Dies on Their Feet. Youn Yuh Jung was offered the role of Ja Geum Soon, a woman from North Korea who was born in 1930.
Son Ye Jin, on the other hand, received an offer to play Se Yeon, the granddaughter of Ja Geum Soon who runs the Nakwon Hotel.
However, until now, both Youn Yuh Jung and Son Ye Jin have not confirmed their involvement in the Korean drama Trees Dies on Their Feet. The management of the two artists said Youn Yuh Jung and Son Ye Jin were still reviewing further.
Trees Dies on Their Feet will be directed by Yoon Sang Ho, whose previous success from River Where the Moon Rises to King Maker: The Change Destiny. This drama will be written by Jo Sung Geol, who was previously responsible for Hitman: Agent Jun to Midnight Runners.
