VIVA – Pramac Racing’s Jorge Martin spoke up after experiencing a pretty terrible incident with Francesco Bagnaia at the Qatar 2022 MotoGP race. After that incident, both drivers could not continue racing at the Losail Circuit, Qatar.
Jorge Martin admitted that he was scared when he experienced the incident. The 24-year-old racer slipped very quickly and was between two bikes that lost control.
The incident occurred as the drivers were about to enter the 12th lap after Francesco Bagnaia lost traction on the front wheels. The Lenovo Ducati racer also fell, dragging Jorge Martin and making both of them off the track.
“This is the first time I’m afraid for my life. I got into the gravel very quickly and I was between two bikes,” said Jorge Martin, as quoted by Speedweek, Monday 7 March 2022.
The incident made Jorge Martin feel pain in his right hand. This was caused after the Spaniard had a collision with the motorbike being ridden by Bagnaia.
“I hit his bike (Bagnaia) and then the pain came,” said Jorge Martin
For that incident, Jorge Martin felt MotoGP Qatar 2022, was not the best day for him. In fact, Jorge Martin started the race from first position. However, he could not finish the race, because of the incident.
