INDOSPORT.COM – Olivier Giroud who became the hero of AC Milan’s victory over Napoli stated that his team was very eager to win two titles at once.
Playing at Napoli’s headquarters, namely the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium on Monday (07/03/22) early morning WIB, AC Milan managed to gain a narrow victory with a score of 1-0.
Former Chelsea striker, Olivier Giroud became the hero of Stefano Pioli’s squad after scoring the only goal in the 49th minute.
Olivier Giroud listed his name on the scoreboard after taking advantage of Davide Calabria’s kick. He easily deflected the ball so that David Ospina failed to reach the ball.
A narrow 1-0 victory over Napoli made AC Milan managed to break the fast of victory. Previously, Stefano Pioli’s men always failed to win in the last three matches in all competitions.
After being held to a 2-2 draw by Salernitana, AC Milan again only won one point when they met Udinese the following week.
Olivier Giroud became a hero in this series of negative AC Milan results. The former Arsenal player also scored his first goal outside the San Siro in the Italian League.
Giroud has scored a total of eight goals for AC Milan in the Italian League 2021/22 season.
