In the smartphone market, we often hear of the iQOO brand, which is a sub-brand of vivo. Unfortunately, iQOO doesn’t sell its products in Indonesia, at least until now. Now! Recently iQOO made a surprise by launching its newest flagship smartphone duo, iQOO 9 and iQOO 9 Pro.

Let’s first dig into the iQOO 9, which comes with a flat screen using a 6.78-inch AMOLED panel and has a resolution of 1080 x 2400. Interestingly, even though it comes as a “vanilla” model, the screen of this smartphone has a refresh rate of 120Hz and a peak brightness of up to 1,500 nits. .

Meanwhile, on the back. This smartphone has a Samsung ISOCELL GN5 1/1.57″ sensor for a 50 MP main camera with an aperture of f/1.75 and OIS. In addition, there is a 13 MP 120-degree ultra-wide lens, and a 12 MP 2x zoom lens. On the front, the iQOO embeds a 16 MP selfie camera with an aperture of f / 2.45.

Of course, no less surprising is the embedded chipset. iQOO 9 is equipped with the most powerful chipset, Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, which is paired with 8GB/12GB RAM and 256GB/512GB internal storage with UFS 3.1 technology. The battery is 4,700 mAh with 120W fast charging.

This smartphone runs on the OriginOS Ocean interface based on Android 12. There are three color options on offer and for consumers in China who are interested in this smartphone, iQOO sells the iQOO 9 starting at CNY 3,999 (Rp 9 million) for the 8 GB/256 GB variant.

Meanwhile, the 12 GB/256 GB variant is sold at a price of CNY 4,399 (Rp 9.8 million). The top iteration, which is the 12 GB/512 GB variant, is priced at CNY 4,799 (Rp 10.7 million). As you can tell by the currency used, this is a special launch in China. It’s currently unclear when the iQOO 9 will make its way to other countries.

Now! For those of you who are curious about the Pro model, this smartphone retains the same screen size as its sibling but makes it curved and increases the resolution to 1440 x 3200. The refresh rate is the same, 120 Hz but this is an LTPO 2.0 panel, which means the variations are dynamic, ranging from 1Hz – 120Hz.

SoC usage hasn’t changed, and neither has the rear camera. However, the ultra-wide camera here is 50 MP with a 150-degree field of view (which would have broken records if the realme GT 2 Pro had not been announced beforehand). As for the telephoto, it is a 16 MP lens unit with 2.5x optical zoom and the front camera is the same.

Battery support remains unchanged at 4,700mAh with 120W wired charging, but the iQOO 9 Pro also gets 50W wireless charging and 10W wireless reverse charging support. Like its sibling, it also runs OriginOS Ocean based on Android 12. Meanwhile, there are only two color options.

This model is priced at CNY 4,999 (Rp 11.2 million) for the 8 GB/256 GB variant. While the 12 GB/256 GB and 12 GB/512 GB variants are sold at a price of CNY 5,499 (Rp 12.4 million) and CNY 5,999 (Rp 13.5 million). The iQOO 9 and iQOO 9 Pro will go on sale in China first from January 12, 2022.
