The year 2022 has just entered its third day, but leaks about the latest smartphone made by Apple, the iPhone 14 Series in recent weeks have been pouring in. Yes! It is certain that Apple will launch the iPhone 14 series this year.
Now! The latest leak, it seems that the iPhone 14 series will arrive with some big changes. As revealed by Mark Gurman from Bloomberg, in his latest Power On bulletin, he claims that the iPhone 14 series model will not have a notch or bangs to house several sensors that are placed.
Instead, Gurman wrote that Apple’s latest smartphone will have a pill-shaped punch-hole at the top of the screen. Prior to Gurman, the South Korean-based publication, The Elec, also claimed that the iPhone 14 and 14 Pro Max would have holes in the screen instead of bangs or notches.
Previously, Apple has said that the bangs are needed to accommodate some sensors, such as the front camera as well as the Face ID feature. So, it will be interesting to see how the Cupertino-based tech giant manages to pack it all in such a small space.
Even the analyst who is so close to Apple, Ming-Chi Kuo has claimed about the iPhone 14 model that will have a punch-hole. Various reports about the same thing almost confirm the development. And of course this is something interesting for those who like the iPhone.
Apple first introduced the notch with the iPhone X and since then, it has remained largely unchanged. The notch houses a TrueDepth camera array that includes an infrared camera, flood illuminator, front camera and point projector.
Another report, contrary to what The Elec and Gurman, stated that the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max will be packed with notch screens, but the Pro models in this series will come with pill-shaped punch holes to accommodate a number of sensors.
Some rumors claim that Apple could adopt a laser-based time-of-flight architecture for Face ID, while other rumors suggest a unibody lens design that will help Apple to “reduce” the front camera module.
