VIVA – Good news comes from the Indonesian basketball team, who is currently in Saudi Arabia to undergo window II of the 2023 Basketball World Cup Qualification Group C Asia Zone. All players are declared ready for battle.
This was confirmed after all Red and White players were tested negative for COVID-19 based on the results of the PCR test upon arrival in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, Monday, February 21, 2022. With this result, Indonesia will appear as a full team against host Saudi Arabia at King Abdullah Sport City, Jeddah.
“Thank God the PCR results for all players and officials were negative,” said team advisor Andi “Batam” Poedjakesuma, quoted by PP Perbasi’s official website.
In an effort to achieve positive results in the continuation of the 2023 Basketball World Cup Qualification, Perbasi through the National Team Agency sent 14 players. Almost all of them are players who play in the Indonesian Basketball League (IBL) 2022.
They are Abraham Damar Grahita, Agassi Goantara, Aldy Izzatur, Ali Bagir, Andakara Prastawa, Brandon Jawato, Juan Laurent Kokodiputra, Kaleb Ramot Gemilang, Kevin Yonas Sitorus. Then there were Lester Prosper, Muhamad Arighi, Vincent Kosasih, Widyanta Putra Teja, and Yudha Saputera.
