VIVA – The Indonesian Basketball National Team can’t wait to face Saudi Arabia and Jordan in the 2023 Basketball World Cup Qualifications Group C Asia Zone. Andakara Prastawa cs felt challenged to improve the record after the defeat to Lebanon.
Yes, in the previous two matches against Lebanon, Rajko Toroman’s team lost two back to back. Now, they have the opportunity to improve the negative record by serving Saudi Arabia (24/2) and Jordan (27/2).
The point guard for the Indonesian basketball team, Andakara Prastawa, stated that he was still optimistic about the matches against Saudi Arabia and Jordan. For him, there are no tough matches. He put these two matches as challenges to be conquered.
“They have the advantage of an athletic and strong posture. For me, there are no tough matches but just challenges,” Prastawa was quoted as saying on Perbasi’s official website.
“So, I’m very optimistic that we can win, especially since we’ve been together for more than two years and of course we understand each other. The key is, against them, you shouldn’t lose your focus at all during the match,” he added.
Meanwhile, the shooting guard for the Red and White team, Abraham Damar Grahita, realized that the two matches would not be easy. The reason is, the current condition of the national team players is different due to the number of players infected with COVID-19 in the IBL 2022 series 2.
