VIVA – After a month’s pause in competition, the Indonesian Basketball League (IBL) was decided to resume on March 3, 2022. Later, the competition will continue in a bubble manner.
Previously, IBL management decided to temporarily suspend this season’s competition after there were many cases of COVID-19 in all participating teams. Termination is carried out as of February 3, 2022.
After the entire team recovered and management designed various health protocols, IBL 2022 was finally decided to continue from March 3, which was originally a series 4 schedule in Solo.
The country’s highest basketball competition will finish the rest of the regular round competition with a bubble system at the Gelora Bung Karno Basketball Building, Senayan Jakarta, on March 3 to 31.
All parties involved, from players, coaches, and officials will stay centrally at Century Park Hotel Senayan Jakarta.
GBK Arena Senayan Jakarta will be used as a training ground.
In addition to providing an opportunity for personnel who had been exposed to COVID-19 to recover, the long pause this time was also due to the preparation of the national team, which consisted of the majority of IBL players, for the World qualifiers on February 24 and 27.
