Huawei has officially announced the start of global availability for its two flagship smartphones P50 Pro and P50 Pocket. Consumers in Asia Pacific, Middle East, Africa, Europe and South America will be able to purchase it soon as part of the first phase of the release.

You need to know that both smartphones are powered by the Snapdragon 888 4G chip. Unlike its 5G variant, the chipset is only equipped with a 4G LTE modem, and so far Qualcomm seems to have only produced it for Huawei.

The first time, the HUAWEI P50 Pro arrived in China in July 2021 and has finally reached the global market. This smartphone does have a lot of charm, such as a 6.6-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 2700 x 1228 and a refresh rate of 120Hz. For photography, there’s a quad-camera setup on the back that has been co-developed with Leica.

Yes! The rear camera consists of a 50 MP main camera, 40 MP monochrome, 13 MP ultra-wide, and 64 MP periscope telephoto. Meanwhile, to keep this smartphone going for a long time, there is a 4,360 mAh battery supply and supports 66W wired and 50W wireless charging.

Unfortunately, Huawei will only provide one P50 Pro option regarding its memory. Only 8GB of RAM is available paired with 256GB of internal storage. This smartphone will sell for EUR 1,199 (Rp. 19.3 million). The color choices are Golden Black and Cocoa Gold.

Meanwhile, the HUAWEI P50 Pocket is the latest offering, as it was launched just last month in China. It will now head to the global market with its innovative form factor and attractive specifications. The device has a 1-inch cover screen on the outside that allows the user to interact with notifications, controls and the camera.

On the inside, consumers who buy this smartphone will be spoiled by a 6.9-inch 120Hz OLED panel with an aspect ratio of 21:9. Going deeper into the body, Huawei has equipped this folding smartphone with a 4,000 mAh battery that has 40W charging support.

The P50 Pocket will be sold in two variants. There is a regular model with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage. It is priced at EUR 1,299 (Rp 20.9 million). Then, there is also the Premium Edition with an improved design and configuration of 12 GB RAM + 512 GB ROM for EUR 1,599 (Rp 25.8 million).

Until now, there is no news whether Huawei will bring the P50 Pocket to the Indonesian market or not. However, in recent weeks Huawei has always teased Indonesian consumers with the HUAWEI P50 Pro. This clearly indicates that Huawei will soon launch the smartphone in Indonesia.
