VIVA – Holywings is deeply saddened by the death of Indonesian boxer, Hero Purwanto aka Hero Tito. Hero Tito died on Sunday afternoon, March 3, 2022.
Holywings Co-Founder Ivan Tanjaya said he was devastated by the death of Hero Tito. The boxer breathed his last after battling brain swelling.
Ivan Tanjaya said, Holywings will provide compensation to Hero Tito’s children amounting to Rp 5 million for the next 10 years. Ivan hopes that his son gets a good education after his father’s departure.
“We are very sorry and saddened by the events experienced by our athlete Hero Tito, therefore we ask all of our friends to pray for our friend Hero Tito so that he can calm down there,” said Ivan in a written statement received by VIVA.
“We from Holywings will provide compensation to his two children in the amount of 5 million rupiah for the next 10 years, with the hope that Hero Tito’s two children can get a decent education and life after being left by his father,” the statement continued.
Furthermore, Ivan Tanjaya explained that this was the first time Holywings held a boxing match promoted by Armintan Promoter.
Therefore, all technical matters regarding boxing are completely left to the boxing body appointed by the promoter. Holywings, said Ivan, only provides space and prizes to boxers who compete.
