Teaser and premiere of the upcoming competition series Harry Potter: Hogwarts Tournament of Houses has been released, to promote the upcoming exciting game show.
As a show co-produced between TBS and Cartoon Network, Harry Potter: Hogwarts Tournament of Houses will be hosted by Academy Award-winning actress Helen Mirren, and the game show is a four-part competition.
Helen Mirren even expressed her enthusiasm about her involvement in this event. “I knew that one day I would land a role in the Harry Potter franchise, and I am so excited to be taking part in the film’s 20th anniversary celebration. The films inspire charm and magic to many of us, and it would be a wonderful treat, to reignite that magic for the countless fans who continue to revel in this mesmerizing world.”
It’s been almost 20 years since Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone first brought moviegoers to the Wizarding World, and to celebrate, Harry Potter: Hogwarts Tournament of Houses promises to bring us the best and brightest Magicians to face each other to prove once and for all which “house” is the most accomplished. The team with the most knowledge will take home the coveted House Cup Champion title. To sweeten up and enliven the event, the studio has promised that some special guests will stop by to cheer on their favorite “home”.
Judging from this preview, we can expect a lot of magic and celebration in a smaller version of the studio setting that looks like a large hall at Hogwarts. Will the Gryffindors be separated by their courage, bravery and chivalry? Will Slytherin finally claim greatness? Will the Ravenclaws use their master wits to take home the House Cup Champions title? Or, will the fair, loyal and patient Hufflepuff not be afraid to work hard and come forward to claim their victory?
Airing on TBS and Cartoon Network starting November 28, 2021 as part of their ACME Night, Hogwarts Tournament of Houses will also be available on HBO Max at a date that has not been disclosed to the public. It is estimated that this competition event can begin to be watched in early 2022 on HBO Max.
