Erling Haaland’s action in the Wolfsburg vs Borussia Dortmund match (27/11/21).
INDOSPORT.COM – Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland is rumored to be getting closer to Barcelona, but apparently according to a colleague of the player’s family it was just a hoax.
A few days ago it was reported by many media including renowned Italian journalist, Fabrizio Romano, that Barcelona is leading the race for Erling Haaland in the transfer market.
The reason is that through the player’s agent, Mino Raiola, the Spanish giants have made contact.
Borussia Dortmund as the club that owns Haaland has also resigned itself to the future condition of the mainstay player and asked him to immediately provide clarity.
Rumors of Haaland’s approach to Barcelona were strengthened by the Blaugrana coach, Xavi Hernandez, who met the Norwegian national team player in person in Munich, Tuesday (01/03/22).
When asked about his meeting with Haaland, Xavi chose to remain private but gave a hint that the talks were going well.
“I can’t reveal the details of our meeting,” Xavi said as quoted by Indosport from brand.
“All I can say is that we are working to present the future of the club,” Xavi added.
However, according to one of the Haaland family colleagues who is also a former Norwegian national team player, Jan Age Fjortoft, the news is just a rumor.
