VIVA – Paris Pernandes has proven that his punches are not only effective at knocking down banana peels. The man who went viral with the jargon “Greetings from Binjai” succeeded in defeating Jekson Karmela in the boxing arena at Holywings Gatsu Club V, Jakarta, Sunday 27 February 2022.
Jackson, who was defeated by Paris, was not an arbitrary figure. He is a Muay Thai athlete who won a gold medal at XX Papua PON.
Paris Pernandes declared victory against Jekson by split decision. He scored 38-38 from Judge A, 38-39 from Judge B and 39-37 from Judge C.
“This victory is for my parents in Binjai, thank you to Mr. Steve and my coach and my beloved wife, another one, Indra, who is not here but his spirit is here, all of this is from Allah, Greetings from Binjai,” said Paris Pernandes after the match.

Jekson may be a Muay Thai athlete, but he is no stranger to boxing. Even so with Paris Pernandes who claimed to be a former national boxing athlete.
