Searchlight Pictures has revealed the official trailer of Fresh which is a horror thriller film starring Daisy Edgar-Jones, and Sebastian Stan. The film will be available for US streaming on March 4, 2022 at Hulufollowed by an international debut in the spring on Star+ in Latin America and through Disney+ in all other regions.

The trailer features a seemingly romantic and funny encounter at a convenience store that suddenly turns into a psychological nightmare when the charming character Steve, played by Stan, turns into a madman and scary with an unusual appetite.

Fresh is the directorial debut of Mimi Cave, written by Lauryn Kahn. The film stars Daisy Edgar-Jones (Normal People), Sebastian Stan (Pam and Tommy), Jojo T. Gibbs (Twenties), Charlotte Le Bon (Anthropoid, The Hundred-Foot Journey), Andrea Bang (Luce), and Dayo. Okeniyi (Runner Runner, The Spectacular Now).

Here’s the official synopsis of the film:

“The film follows Noa, who meets charming Steve at a convenience store and – out of frustration with a dating app – takes a chance and gives him his number. After their first date, Noa falls in love and accepts Steve’s invitation for a romantic weekend getaway. Only to find that her new lover has been hiding some unusual tastes. ”

The film’s main star duo might catch the attention of viewers: Daisy Edgar-Jones rose to fame after starring in Normal People which is aired by Hulu, one of the most popular series of 2020. He was recently featured in War of the Worlds on Netflix. Meanwhile, Sebastian Stan himself has developed a large fan base after playing Bucky Barnes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He recently made quite an impressive appearance in the series Pam & Tommy. Starring Edgar-Jones and Stan with a romcom thriller as the wrapper, Fresh will probably be one of the titles of the films that must be watched in the next month.
