VIVA – The Indonesian badminton squad is optimistic that they will face the 2022 Badminton Asian Team Championship (BATC) which will take place in Selangor, Malaysia, 15-20 February. This optimism radiated from the faces of the Garuda Muda squad which was released to the battlefield by the Daily Chair of PP PBSI, Alex Tirta.
Through a simple event at the PBSI Cipayung National Training Center, East Jakarta, Monday afternoon 7 February 2022, the group was officially released. The team is also continuously encouraged to be able to show the best performance in this team championship.
“Prove that what has been trained while at the Cipayung National Training Center can be used as capital in the match. In addition, athletes must also believe that what has been prepared during training is the best,” Alex Tirta said in an official statement from PBSI.
According to Alex, in the leadership era of PP PBSI’s general chairman Agung Firman Sampurna, young players will indeed be given the opportunity to improve their abilities and increase their flying experience in performing in team championships with a different atmosphere. By appearing in this team championship, these best young players will be more honed in their technique, skills, and mentality to compete.
“I believe the players sent are the best young players we have. I ask the team to continue to be compact. Between players and coaches continue to coordinate for maximum results,” said Alex.

Consisting of 10 male players and 10 female players, plus technical coaches, physical trainers, masseurs, therapists, nutritionists, psychologists, and other support teams.
