Amblin Entertainment has just unveiled the official poster premiere for Miguel Sapochnik’s sci-fi drama film, Finch, which will debut on November 5, exclusively on Apple TV+. Finch’s poster, which you can see below, features the character played by Tom Hanks leads two of his “followers” on a perilous journey to the remote American West. Yes, Tom Hanks, a dog, a robot, and a post-apocalyptic abandoned city are the four elements in this poster.

Apple TV+ hasn’t released a trailer for Finch. In addition to Hanks and his dog, other actors in this film “only” will feature Caleb Landry Jones as a robot through the motion capture method.

Finch directed by British filmmaker Miguel Sapochnik, who is no stranger to the sci-fi genre, having directed Repo Men and some episodes of sci-fi series like Fringe, Revolution, Falling Skies, and Altered Carbon, so he knows a thing or two about post-apocalyptic scenarios. Sapochnik is also the person who directed Battle of the Bastards, the Season 6 episode of Game of Thrones, which is one of the most famous episodes in the history of the phenomenal series.

“In the film, a man, a robot and a dog form an unlikely family bond on a unique and heartwarming adventure in the search for the one person who can ensure his beloved dog will be cared for after he dies. Tom Hanks stars as Finch, a robotics engineer and one of the few survivors of a cataclysmic solar event that has turned the world into a desert. But Finch, who has lived in an underground bunker for a decade, has built a world of his own that he shares with his dog Goodyear. He created a robot to keep an eye on Goodyear when he couldn’t anymore. As the trio embark on a perilous journey to the desolate American West, Finch attempts to show his creation, who calls himself Jeff, the joy and wonder of what it means to be alive. Their journey is sprinkled with challenges and humor, as it is as difficult for Finch to encourage Jeff and Goodyear to get along as it is for him to face the dangers of the new world.”

Finch is Hanks’ second major project to be taken over by Apple Original Films. The company previously acquired the World War II thriller, Greyhound from Sony Pictures. In this film, Hanks is the commander of the US Navy who in his first war duty escorts a convoy of merchant ships using submarines during the Battle of the Atlantic in 1942.
