VIVA – The Indonesian men’s badminton squad successfully beat Hong Kong in the inaugural group A Badminton Asia Team Championships 2022.
Competing at the Setia City Convention Center, Selangor, Malaysia, Garuda Muda won 4-1 over Hong Kong, Tuesday 15 February 2022.
Chico Aura Wardoyo opened Indonesia’s advantage. He successfully humiliated Lee Cheuk Yiu through a fierce rubbergame duel.
In the second party, Indonesia was defeated. Pramudya Kusumawardana/Yeremia Erich Yoche Yacob Rambutan were silenced by Law Cheuk Him/Lee Chun Hei Reginald through a rubber game.
Indonesia won again through Ikhsan Leonardo Immanuel Rumbay. He defeated Chan Yin Chak through the rubber game.
In the third match, Indonesia again won the match. This time, Leo Rolly Carnando/Daniel Marthin beat Ho Wai Lun/Yeung Ming Nok in two games.
Finally, Christian Adinata locked Indonesia’s victory over Hong Kong. He crushed Jason Gunawan in two straight games.
