As the serial release date draws near Hawkeye on Disney+, the streamer is constantly releasing new promos and new information about their MCU series. The latest is a trailer featuring various interesting scenes with a little background of festive holiday cheer from the series. They also featured a lot more scenes involving Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop, and a few highlights with Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner).
The new trailer also looks to highlight Barton’s difficulties balancing life with his family against his background — a result of his role as Ronin taking place between Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. All he wanted to do was spend a proper Christmas vacation in New York with his family, but it seemed things weren’t going the way they should.
In addition to this new trailer, Disney also informed that they will release the first and second episodes of the Hawkeye series simultaneously on November 24. This means that the series will only run for five weeks, as opposed to the six weeks we’re used to seeing for series like Loki and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Nonetheless, this six-episode series looks packed with enough action to keep superhero fans happy.
Serial Hawkeye will take place in post-blip New York City. Former Avenger member Clint Barton has a seemingly simple mission: return to his family for Christmas. He then gets help from Kate Bishop, played by Hailee Steinfeld, an accomplished archer who is only 22 years old and dreams of becoming a Super Hero. The two are forced to work together when a mystery from Barton’s past threatens to return.
With Jeremy Renner and Hailee Steinfeld, Hawkeye will also introduce Alaqua Cox as Maya Lopez or Echo, a deaf superhero who can perfectly imitate other people’s movements. The series also stars Vera Farmiga as Kate’s mother, Eleanor Bishop; Tony Dalton as Jack Duquesne, Barton’s early mentor; Zahn McClarnon as William Lopez, Maya’s father and most recently Fra Fee as Kazi, better known as Kazimierz Kazimierczak AKA Clown.
Hawkeye will also feature the return of Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova after her debut in Black Widow this year. His presence is teased in the post=credits scene of the film Black widow when the highly trained spy and assassin sets to work for Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, and hunts down Barton for his role in Natasha Romanoff’s death.
