TRIBUNNEWS.COM – Russia has communicated with China to provide assistance in the form of holding assets in the form of gold it owns.

For information, sanctions by Western countries are not only given to Russia, but also to the Bamboo Curtain country.

Quoted from AlgeriaThe United States (US) has warned China not to get involved in anything related to the impact of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, especially economic sanctions.

Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said the sanctions imposed had hampered his party’s access to assets in the form of gold amounting to US$300 billion out of a total of US$640 billion.

Siluanov said the assets were a reserve fund kept by the Russian government abroad.

Plus, said Siluanov, there is still pressure from Western countries on Russia to close access to assets from Russia.

“We have a stake in the Chinese currency, namely the yuan in which there is gold and foreign reserves.”

“In addition, we will see what kind of pressure Western countries will put on China regarding the cooperation that we have agreed on,” Siluanov said.

“Of course there is also pressure to limit access to these funds,” he added.

Siluanov also considers his cooperation with China to be the basis for the two countries to be able to communicate and he wants these relations to improve when sanctions from Western countries are increasingly massive.
