VIVA – The Indonesian women’s badminton team finally won the 2022 Badminton Asia Team Championships. This is the first Asian title for the women’s team.
The title was obtained after destroying South Korea in the fiery final. Competing at the Setia City Convention Center, Selangor, Malaysia, the Garuda Muda squad won 3-1, Sunday 20 February.
Indonesian women’s doubles, Nita Violina Marwah/Lanny Tria Mayasari locked Indonesia’s victory after defeating Kim Min Ji/Lee Seo Jin in two straight games.
They make Min Ji / Seo Jin not move. Lanny/Nita won 23-21 and 21-11.
Previously, in the third match Putri Kusuma Wardani also won two games over Le Se Yeon. He recorded a score of 21-10 and 21-18.
In the second match, Indonesia’s women’s doubles had to recognize the superiority of South Korea. Febriana Dwi Puji Kusuma/Amalia Cahaya Pratiwi lost through the rubber game. They were forced to surrender by Baek Ha Na/Seong Seung Yeon 15-21, 21-14 and 14-21.
Gregoria Mariska Tunjung won in the first match over Sim Yu Jin. He won two games 21-9 and 21-10.
