Live-action series Cowboy Bebop Netflix has finally released its first official poster, which comes with a pretty cool look. Posters published on the account Twitter The Netflix shows the backs of the trio of main characters: Spike, Jet, and Faye with the Swordfish plane flying in the distance. And this poster reaffirms the series’ release date which falls on November 19, 2021.
Project Cowboy Bebop this was spearheaded by the series’ showrunner, André Nemec, who said they would not only honor the anime, but also delve deeper into their history and provide fans with more than just adapted rehashes of old material.
Based on the famous 90s anime series from director Shinichirō Watanabe, Netflix’s new live-action series will feature John Cho as Spike Spiegel, a bounty hunter aboard the spaceship Bebop. His crew consists of Jet Black (Mustafa Shakir), a former police officer, and Faye Valentine (Daniella Pineda), an amnesiac con artist. Together, they hunt down the solar system’s most dangerous criminals as they try to escape from their own past.
In addition, this series will also feature Alex Hassell (Suburbicon) as Vicious, and Elena Satine (Revenge) as Julia. The 10-episode live-action series will be directed by Michael Katleman and Alex Garcia Lopez with Christopher Yost (Thor: The Dark World, Thor: Ragnarok) and Javier Grillo-Marxuach writing the script.
Cowboy Bebop is an anime series set in sci-fi set in the 21st century. When crime rates began to rise due to hyperspace travel technology, the government created a system for bounty hunters to cooperate with law enforcement. This anime focuses on a group of bounty hunters who go by the name “Cowboys” and also a crew member named “Bebop.”
Among the crew are Spike Spiegel, a hero who hides a dark and deadly past, Pilot named Jet who is a villain who can’t wait to collect his next prize and Faye Valentine, a femme fatale prone to heartbreak. Set in 2017, the crew of this plane is also enlivened by the brilliant, but strange hacker, Ed, and the super-genius dog named Ein.
