Chris Pine Seeks the Truth in the All The Old Knives Trailer

After revealing the release date a few days ago, now Amazon Studios has released the trailer All the Old Knives, film adaptation of Olen Steinhauer’s espionage novel of the same name. Starring by Chris Pine and Thandiwe Newton, the film will finally debut April 8 in select theaters and on Prime Video.

Trailer All the Old Knives it demonstrates the determination to distrust anyone emphasized by the character played by Laurence Fishburne, the head of CIA operations who assigns the character Henry Pelham, played by Chris Pine, to find out who the CIA traitor is. This makes Pine place every character in this film as a suspect, including the character played by Jonathan Pryce, who doesn’t seem to be standing still.

Also revealed in the trailer is the agency’s decision to take aim at Thadiwe Newton’s Celia Harrison, who doesn’t really act as an innocent person and constantly challenges Henry’s interrogation. Is he guilty or is he just having fun with the case?

The film is an adaptation of author Olen Steinhauer’s spy novel (The Tourist, An American Spy) originally published in 2015. Steinhauer will also be in charge of writing the screenplay for the upcoming film. Under the direction of Danish filmmaker Janus Metz (Armadillo, Heartbound –A Different Kind of Love Story), the cast for this film is Chris Pine, Thandiwe Newton, Laurence Fishburne, and Jonathan Pryce.

All the Old Knives The story is set in a leak of information that caused the deaths of more than 100 people. Bringing in their most trusted and experienced agent, the CIA assigns Henry Pelham (Pine) with the task of finding enemy spies who are among themselves. Knowing the traitor had come from Pelham’s time at the representative office in Vienna helped him a little. Since many of these agents have spread all over the world, from Austria to England and even California, the agent continues to follow in the defector’s footsteps.
