Today’s access to technology makes it easier for viewers to watch movies. Entering the pandemic era, the platform for providing audio-visual content is increasingly being accessed by the people of Indonesia. Various choices of film and series titles, both from within and outside the country, short films have become an alternative entertainment.
With a shorter duration, short films are the right choice considering the habits and attention span of today’s audience when surfing the internet.
The challenges faced by short film makers to convey ideas, ideas and creativity in a shorter time span have the same complexity as those faced by feature film production.
However, the process of finding quality short films for audiences can take some time. One site that offers quality short films is Viddsee.
Founded in 2013 by Ho Jia Jian and Derek TanViddsee is a leading short film platform supported by quality storytellers and advanced artificial intelligence technology.
“Viddsee was built initially because Derek and I, who were still students, were looking for a way to
discover and talk about the short films we love to people all over
the world,” said Jian.
This simple goal has evolved over the past eight years. To date, the short films on Viddsee have been viewed more than 2 billion times.
Not only being a platform for watching short films, Viddsee wants to empower the 3,000 storyteller community and create a new generation in the creative industry.
How to watch movies on Viddsee is also very easy. Simply by creating an account, viewers can watch thousands of short film titles for free and without ads.
The existing films have been curated so that the quality is unquestionable.
The short film catalog offered by Viddsee is very diverse and complete from Asia to the world, viewers can access short films from Indonesia, Singapore, to Japan and South Korea.

In its fifth edition, Juree Indonesia is back online. After the registration period closed last September 12, the curation team is currently conducting a rigorous process to select the ten finalist films that will be announced on October 19, 2021.
This year’s international judging panel consists of Sebastien Simonprogrammer for the Busan International Short Film Festival; Linh Duong, a female filmmaker from Vietnam; and Ahsan Adriana film editor whose work won the best editing award at the Indonesian Film Festival.
The two selected films will receive a Gold and Silver Award, as well as a Viddsee Filmmaker Gold and Silver Kit sponsored by the Motion Picture Association.
