VIVA – Exactly Monday, March 14, 2022, is a historic day for Persib Bandung. The team nicknamed Maung Bandung celebrated its 89th birthday.
In commemoration of the anniversary, Persib held the Persib Football Festival with the theme ‘Field for Sharing’ at the Republik Soccer Field, Bandung, Monday 14 March 2022.
This activity was held as a form of gratitude for Persib for taking part and achieving in the Indonesian football scene for the last 89 years.
The event involved 75 participants from Orphanages, Street Children Shelters, Children with Disabilities (SLB) and children’s communities in densely populated settlements such as Rumah Pelangi, Al Fien Orphanage, SLB Cicendo and SLB Welas Asih Majalengka.
The series of events invited all participants to practice and play football. They will receive guidance from Persib Academy coaches who have also defended Persib, namely Tantan, Gilang Angga Kusumah, Dadang Sudrajat and Imam Nurjaman who have coached Persib U-16.
“In order to celebrate its 89th anniversary, PERSIB wants to share its gratitude by inviting underprivileged and disabled children to practice and play football together,” said Director of PT Persib Bandung with Dignity, Teddy Tjahjono.
