Burnley Vs Tottenham: The Lilywhites Fall 0-1

Tottenham Hotspur lost 0-1 when they traveled to Burnley headquarters. The Clarets won thanks to a single goal from Ben Mee.

Burnley host Tottenham at Turf Moor in the Premier League match, Thursday (24/2/2022) early morning WIB. Tottenham immediately kicked off at the start of the game.

Harry Kane’s shot that hit Erik Pieters almost scored a goal. However, the ball is still wide.

Burnley tried to put up a fight. Josh Brownhill volley off from the front of the penalty box. Hugo Lloris was still quick to anticipate this threat by being able to catch the ball.

Spurs then dominated the game. However, they struggled to create dangerous chances.

The score was 0-0 unchanged until the first half was complete.

After the break, Burnley opened up the threat in the 57th minute. Dwight McNeil’s free kick from the left found Ben Mee at the far post. Mee’s header has yet to bear fruit because it can still be secured by Lloris.

In the 59th minute, Kane released a hard low shot from outside the penalty box. However, the ball is still wide thin.

Lloris made a brilliant save in the 68th minute. He flew away from Jay Rodriguez’s header to meet McNeil’s cross.

The deadlock in this match was finally broken in the 72nd minute. Brownhill’s free kick from the right can be headed by Mee to beat Lloris. Burnley lead 1-0.

Burnley almost doubled their lead in the 84th minute. Rodriguez was standing free in front of goal snatching a shot from Mee. Sontekannya but still soar.

The Clarets managed to maintain a 1-0 advantage until the game was over. This defeat makes Tottenham stuck in 8th place with 39 points. Meanwhile, Burnley rose to 19th with 20 points.
