Sony Pictures finally released the official trailer of Bullet Train which is an action thriller film directed by David Leitch (Deadpool 2). This promo features a star-studded ensemble led by Brad Pitt. The film is scheduled to hit theaters on Friday, July 15.

The trailer introduces us to the storyline Bullet Train, when several professional assassins meet during a train journey where they each try to do a different “job”. It didn’t take long for the assassins to realize that they weren’t the only killers on the train. And, to make matters even more complicated, their respective duties and jobs seem to be intertwined — all assassins are assigned to retrieve a mysterious briefcase. That meant every assassin had every reason to distrust their comrades and that they might as well be targets. And what do professional killers do once they feel trapped? Yes — they would do anything to survive.

Trailer Bullet Train it also teases the amazing set pieces that director David Leitch made for us. As we all know, Leitch is a veteran of the stunt industry, coordinating teams for big budget productions like 300, Tron: Legacy, and The Bourne Ultimatum. He is also known for co-directing John Wick, the film that has become the benchmark of every action film over the past decade.

Bullet Train packed with a star-studded cast including Brad Pitt, Sandra Bullock, Joey King (The Act), Andrew Koji (Snake Eyes), Brian Tyree Henry (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse), Zazie Beetz (The Harder They Fall ), Michael Shannon (Shape of Water), Logan Lerman (The Perks of Being a Wallflower), Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Nocturnal Animals), Hiroyuki Sanada (Mortal Kombat), Masi Oka (Hero), and Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio (aka rapper Bad Bunny).

Pitt will play Ladybug, the main assassin on the train. King is Prince, another killer who hides his psychopathic nature behind the face of an innocent schoolgirl. Taylor-Johnson and Tyree Henry will play Tangerine and Lemon, a duo of twin assassins who team up to hunt down their target, respectively. As for Bullock, he will be playing the handler of Pitt’s character, a role originally intended for Lady Gaga.

The film is a project that will mark the eighth collaboration between Leitch and Pitt, who first worked together in 1999 at Fight Club where Leitch worked as a stunt double for Pitt, followed by The Mexico in 2001, Ocean’s Eleven and Spy Games, the latter two of which in addition to being a stunt double for Pitt, Leitch also helped coordinate the film’s martial arts action. Leitch is once again a stunt double for Pitt in Troy in 2004 and Mr. & Mrs. Smith in 2005 and later will meet again with di Deadpool 2 in 2018, in which Pitt made a cameo role in Vanisher and Leitch had “upped the ladder” to direct.
