VIVA – The national boxer from Malang Heru Purwanto alias Hero Tito was buried in a public cemetery (TPU) in Sindurejo Hamlet, Banjarejo Village, Pakis District, Malang Regency, Friday, March 4, 2022. Hero Tito died on Thursday, March 3, 2022 yesterday.
Hundreds of mourners came to pay their last respects to the boxer nicknamed The Lion. The world of national boxing mourns. The tears of family and relatives who came to accompany Hero Tito’s departure to his final resting place.
The Indonesian boxing promoter who was involved in the Hero Tito versus James Mokoginta match in the National event at Hollywings Gatsu Night Club, Jakarta on Sunday 27 February 2022, namely Armin Tan also came. He said he was sorry and traumatized by this deadly incident.
“For sure I am very traumatized. I feel guilty about Hero Tito. I think that’s why I have to match him. But yes, I didn’t know Hero Tito happened like this,” said Armin.
Duel between Hero Tito vs James Mokoginta
Hero Tito and James were involved in a 10-round duel for the Indonesian Boxing Association (ATI) lightweight belt at the Holywings Sport Show. This match was fierce, both fighters exchanged blows at the beginning of the round.
